I decided to put a Black Heaven in Bridge Position into my 25,5'' in Drop C Tuning and what I got is this beautiful bite that works great for the heavy distortion i crave!

I heard of Lundgren Pickups and I met Johan at the Guitar Summit in Mannheim. I decided to put a M6 in Bridge Position into my 28'' Baritone in Drop A Tuning and what I got is this beautiful and aggressive sound i crave. Baritone Fire!

I was dealing with an articulation issue on the low E1 string on a 29" baritone guitar. The string sounded overly bass-heavy, lacked attack, and felt like it had less gain compared to the rest of the strings, even after testing different string gauges and adjusting pickup height and EQ.
Based on recommendations for low tunings, I chose the Lundgren Black Heaven because of its tighter low-end response and stronger upper-mid articulation, which are generally better suited for extended range and baritone setups.
The pickup definitely helped — the low end became more controlled, the attack improved, and overall clarity was better. However, the improvement was only partial. At such a low tuning (E1) with a heavy string gauge, I am still running into physical limitations of the string itself (dominance of the fundamental frequency and lack of harmonic content), which no pickup can fully compensate for.
In summary, the Lundgren Black Heaven is a clear upgrade in terms of clarity and control, but in this extreme tuning range, the final result is still significantly influenced by string physics rather than just pickup choice.

Previously I tended to jump between different guitars all the time searching for the right tone in context while recording. But after swapping my custom shop tele pickups to these I tend to rely on the Telecaster almost every time for recordings, regardless of the genre. They're so good that I decided to explore another set of Lundgrens pickups for my Stratocaster, in hope to give that one new life, as they did to me Telecaster.
And the service is exceptional. Johan always provides an accommodating approach.

I installed it in my Jackson Jeff Loomis signature Kelly, and I love it! It's sounds heavy, tight with a nice low end and at the same time it has very nice high frequencies so it's killer and brutal, but not harsh in a bad way. I can only recommend it!!!

sometime ago i was looking for new pickups for my Legator Ghost Hypernova 8 string. The challenge was to find passive pickups that have an active mount that fits in an 8 string multiscale guitar. after a long search i found Lundren pickups and the i was looking for an 8 string set and found the Black Heaven set ( best name for these pickups) and i ordered them right away. a few days ago they came into my mail box and i brought them to a friend of mine that helped me with the installation. At this moment i am writing this with my guitar on my lap. i really love the clean sound of the Black Heaven set beacause it really fits the way im play. the heavier sounds they are really awsome and also in the low end. its the perfect pickup set for me and i cant wait to put the same Black Heaven set in my to other 7 string guitar and also in my 6 string guiiter when i have a new 6 string ofcourse

Not able to track efficiently the shipping, even with the app they suggest you to use, but the pack did arrive in short time.
The pickups, not even had to say, are a top level.

I’ve used Lundgren pickups in two different projects. In one build I used the Hot Heaven and Heaven 57, and in my latest build I went with the Black Heaven. The projects — and the pickups — were quite different, but I was very happy with both the build quality and the tonal character. The Black Heaven especially delivers a clear, articulate tone that handles distortion with impressive power and definition.

Jag ville ha bättre balans mellan tonen i stall- och halsmicken på en ganska bright Telecaster DeLuxe. Jag testade då en '60s Vintage Neck, vilket visade sig vara helt rätt beslut. Bra strängseparation och inte alltför komprimerad. Mycket trevlig.

I replaced my LP's stock humbuckers with a Revolver and a Black Heaven, and the difference is NOT SUBTLE!! The harmonics just do not stop coming out, and I am hearing all the extensions even when I crank the volume in my Deluxe Reverb. Which I don't even need to do that much now since the dynamic response is sharp! Incredible. Thanks for making these amazing things 🙂

As the title suggest, if you want the real deal this is the absolute best. The dynamics tone everything is so good. This is my third set of pickup from Lundgren and they never ever dissapoint. It feels so nice to buy and support an independent small company from my home country sweden as well!
