By popular demand, we're finally releasing the metal-covered bass pickup we've always wanted to make.

Already used by Michael Shuman of Queens of the Stone Age, the Thunderbird is a great platform for creating your own personal tonal palette. Whether it’s something dirty and thunderous or clean and articulate, the unique construction of this humbucker lets you tailor YOUR sound.

The Thunderbird gets its power from two vertically mounted AlNiCo bar magnets, one in each coil. Much of its unique tonal character comes from our own Swedish-made steel baseplate, which has a tremendous impact on the pickup's sound.

The steel baseplate magnetically couples the two bar magnets into a single unit, creating an effect similar to a horseshoe magnet and increasing the magnetic power.

Built using our in-house components and coils wound with plain enamel wire, this pickup brings power, character and tonal versatility. Topped off with a nickel plated cover.
