P-Bass Pre-1957

For many years my No.1 bass was a Fender '51 reissue with a nice, dynamic and woody sound. Looking for a backup, I settled for a Marcus Miller D5, essentially a lighter weight, contour body variant on the same theme. A fine instrument, however with a (imo) somewhat lacking pickup. Tried a couple of pickups from other makers (not mentioned here), but none sounded close to my old Fender... until now.
The Pre-57 has transformed my D5 into the bass I wanted it to be, rather close to the old '51, not overly hot, but with more authority and body to the sound.
