Still the best!

This is my second set of Black Heavens and they do not disappoint in a second guitar! Nothing else, active or passive, has such a wide frequency response on my 8 sting guitars. Everything else is either twangy on the low string, or lacks clarity on the highs. I have no idea what black magic is in these, but they seem to defy conventional physics!

By far my favourite pickups

Being a sound engineer I've heard hundreds of different guitars and pickups configurations -

The black heavens are by far my favourites, perfect frequency response for low tuned stuff, high leads, or lush cleans, great responsivness and dynamics, awesome bite for chugs, no weird resonances, perfect lows and deep low ends

I got them a few years ago for a crazy 35" baritone project and they are so perfect for ultra low double drop A tuning, so I got them again for my 8 string Strandberg and they are just as awesome! Wired in parallel, series and split coil you cannot be disapointed. I'll get these again for my next guitar project!
